Owen Robertson, Staff Writer

Owen Robertson is a senior at Dakota Ridge High School and is new to The Cord News. Owen joined The Cord News because of an interest in journalism and writing, and he hopes to do something related to journalism in college. Outside of The Cord News, Owen enjoys running, being with friends and family, going to concerts, and spending time on the beach.

The Dakota Ridge Environmental Club hosted a recycling day April 11, 2025 during Talon Time, going around to classes and grabbing recycling. The Environmental Club is a newly founded club by Ana Jankovic, which meets every other Thursday in Mr. Tschuor's room ST-210 at 7:35 a.m. The club is open for anyone who is interested in it. They focus on helping the environment through picking up trash, promoting recycling, and outdoor education awareness.

DRHS track team participates in their first official scrimmage on March 1, 2025. The team started their season by running a 4x400 relay, with each member doing a lap as part of their warm up. According to team runner, DRHS senior Owen Robertson, the team was excited, but very nervous, because they have been out of practice for so long. To celebrate their official start, they had a team dinner to welcome new members. They have their first official meet quickly approaching on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Jeffco Stadium. Robertson says the team is eager to start the season and test their boundaries.
