Day Without Hate Assembly

This year, Day Without Hate was celebrated on April 26, 2019. It is celebrated in schools all around Colorado. Day Without Hate was made to promote nonviolence, respect, and unity in our communities and schools.

As Dakota Ridge joins in on Day Without Hate, they had an assembly, opening with student Lacey Jarrell (12) singing “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus for the school. Guest speaker Kevin Atlas followed, talking to the students about how to make schools better and how to spread love with his challenge #BelieveInYou.

“Kevin was super inspirational. His story showed us why it’s so important to be kind to others and how we can become successful through being selfless,” says Chloe Romero (11).

Along with Dakota Ridge, many other schools will gather at Dakota for the Day Without Hate Rally April 26 from 6-8pm. Students will dress up in white to show unity between anyone and everyone.
