Dakota Ridge Students walk with their class flags, a new tradition, to represent each Seminar during the winter assembly on Monday December 9, 2024. Many Seminar classes had been working on their flags during the weeks prior.

Kaylee Walls is a junior and joined the Journalism class because of a recommendation from her 9th grade English teacher. After a few months of writing for The Cord News, she fell in love with the art of it and has been writing since. She spends her free time writing and practicing piano and hopes to be either an author, a medical examiner, or both. Her biggest motivation is a clean workspace and a cuddly kitten (Steve) by her side.

Reese is a current senior who has a passion for journalism and broadcasting. She has an interest in sports journalism and hopes to make a difference in the future of news and media. Outside of school, Reese loves to spend her time outdoors and make her own music.
