When I first moved out of my old neighborhood, I couldn’t help but wonder if I’d find new food locations or have to go back into town just to be satisfied. However, on a random Tuesday, my mom offered me a leftover quesadilla from lunch. For the first time in a while, I got a taste of home.
Tacos Selene is on Kipling in Littleton. It wasn’t until recently that I figured out there is another location in Denver, and I had been missing out on that whole time.
After my first bite, I had to plan another. I visited the restaurant and was immediately greeted by not only the friendly staff but beautiful murals along the walls.
The first couple of visits, my orders were to go. I received timely service, fresh food, and everything I ordered. I left fulfilled and couldn’t wait to come back. Although I’ve only ever ordered the quesadilla, it was good enough for me to refer friends and family.
On my most recent visit, I ate inside. There was a lot of room to sit, and everything was clean and organized.
When trying a new restaurant, especially Mexican, the first thing I look for is authentic horchata. The horchata at Tacos Selene did not disappoint and was served with a generous amount.
On top of it all, it is inexpensive. At cheap places to eat, I often keep in mind that you get what you pay for, but it’s safe to say Tacos Selene exceeded my expectations, and the quality is acceptable considering the pricing. Overall, I would recommend this spot with a 10/10.
