Students from freshmen to seniors received Legacy Awards given to them by teachers and staff and were celebrated in the DRHS auditorium on April 23, 2025.

Shayla is a new senior at Dakota Ridge and new writer for The Cord News. She enjoys learning about the world around her and finding ways to make change. Journalism interests her because it’s a way to help others learn about the world around them and give them opportunity at change too. Shayla plans to travel later in life, and hopes to take journalism with her. Nevertheless, writing has, and will always be, a part of her journey.
