As you enter the brick and wooden building at 8285 W. Bowles Avenue in Littleton, CO, you are greeted at the door by a friendly person with a smile. I rarely have to wait for a table since the place is so large. The steakhouse could be lit better, but it’s usually pretty warm in this place. There are many country related pictures that drown the walls, and sports games also play on the televisions by the bar.
The service is excellent here —the people actually care about your experience in the restaurant. As soon as you and your party are seated, a server will come up to greet you and ask what you would like to drink. The bread is hot, yummy, and dense, but I wish the butter was a little easier to spread.
I’ll usually order the 6 oz. steak, medium well, and it is juicy and so tasty that it melts in your mouth as you chew it. The steak costs $25.99. I usually get that with their mac and cheese, which has four different kinds of cheeses in it, with crispy and tender pieces of bacon bits in between each gooey bite, all for s $5.49. As for my vegetables, I get the steamed broccoli, which is $2.99. I know that vegetables aren’t something that many people find tasty, but Longhorn’s broccoli is so buttery and salty. It’s got just the right amount of salt, steamed to perfection.
After the meal I am so full, I can barely move, but that’s not the end. The server comes to ask if we are interested in dessert, and of course I say yes, even though I know I’ll be struggling to get up and walk out of the place. Their stampede cake is to die for —it’s two giant pieces of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream scoops and, of course, whipped cream. This dessert melted in my mouth with so many layers of fudgy sweetness — I couldn’t finish it all, but it was definitely worth it to get it.
I would give Longhorn Steakehouse a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you are looking for a nice casual night out with your friends or family. I would definitely recommend this place.
